January Marx Knoop, artist, beloved wife of Christopher, mother of Jody (Ward Wenstrup) grandmother of Tess and Flint Wenstrup, sister of the late Merry Hunter, daughter of the late Evelyn and Joe Marx, died peacefully at home on May 2, 2006.

Memorial gifts, in lieu of flowers, may be sent to Fund 2200 at the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, for green-space and conservation purposes, or to the Walnut Hills HS Alumni Foundation, to The Seven Hills School, or to The Christ Hospital for an oncology nursing fund. Gallery Hop opening was on March 3 from 6-10.

Collaborations, an art show featuring works with complimentary themes by January Marx Knoop and Sherry Amott Tippey, was open throughout the month of February at St. John's Unitarian Universalist Church in Clifton.

Knoop shows five large acrylic paintings from her Hot Air series, and 6 prints from her Metamorphosis ink painting series. Tippey displays three large oil paintings and a series of watercolor costume sketches produced "live" as part of her United Scenic Artists' entrance exam.
